Welcome to SHiFTUP – where our coating doesn’t just protect your car but helps it maintain that fresh, showroom look for years. Our Car Coating Guarantee is designed to provide peace of mind, but please note, there are certain intricacies, conditions, and exclusions that might apply. Here’s what you need to know
What’s Covered :
SHiFTUP's Car Coating offers a range of protections, but understanding what’s truly covered requires a bit more attention.
Water & Dirt :
The coating's hydrophobic layer causes water to bead and roll off. However, this is subject to varying external conditions. If your vehicle faces high exposure to dust, heavy rain, or other environmental factors, dirt and water may still accumulate. This means while cleaning is easier, complete immunity to contaminants may not always be guaranteed. Certain areas may require reapplication or touch-ups, especially in harsh environments.
Bird Droppings & Tree Sap :
Though our coating shields your car from bird droppings and tree sap, the effectiveness is based on how quickly these substances are removed. Left untreated for too long, these elements may still cause some damage, and a reapplication fee could be incurred if the coating’s performance is compromised. So while it prevents lasting damage, speed is crucial when it comes to protecting your car.
UV Rays & Hairline Scratches:
The coating reduces UV-related fading and hairline scratches. However, extreme sun exposure and heavy abrasions may still cause gradual wear. Some level of fading, depending on your region's climate, and minor surface scratches might still occur. If such wear becomes significant, additional care or reapplication at a cost could be necessary.
Guarantee Period:
Our Guarantee(No. of years mention in the receipt) begins on the application date, but this is specific to the exterior metallic painted surfaces. The guarantee does not extend to non-metallic surfaces, trims, or areas under extreme conditions. If the coating degrades outside the covered areas, the guarantee may not apply, and extra charges may arise for touch-ups or repairs. If the car's use and exposure deviate from expected conditions, the cost of repair or maintenance could vary.

For optimal coverage, certain conditions must be met
Proper Care Required:
Following our detailed care instructions is imperative. If non-recommended products or maintenance practices are used, the coating's protection could weaken. You may be liable for a service visit or reapplication fee if these instructions are not adhered to.
No Unauthorized Alterations:
Only SHiFTUP technicians are authorized to alter or touch up the coating. If third parties handle the vehicle's exterior, an evaluation fee might be applied to assess the condition of the coating and determine whether reapplication is necessary.
Exclusions:
While SHiFTUP's ceramic coating offers robust protection, there are certain exclusions.
Accidental or Misuse Damage:
Any damage caused by accidents, misuse, or external environmental impacts (e.g., spills, impacts) is not covered."Misuse" can be subject to interpretation and may require an additional charge for repair or reapplication, depending on the severity of the damage.
Extreme Weather Conditions:
The coating does not shield against severe conditions like hailstorms, acid rain, or extreme environmental stress. If the car experiences such weather, the coating's effectiveness may be compromised. Additional charges may apply to repair or restore the coating to its original state.
Normal Wear and Tear:
Natural wear, such as light scratches or swirl marks from regular use, is excluded from the guarantee. Over time, the coating may degrade from normal exposure. If this wear surpasses a certain threshold, you could be charged for a reapplication or touch-up.
Location or Address Change:
If you relocate outside our service area, SHiFTUP is still here to help! However, service fees may apply, depending on your new location's distance from our center. The further you move, the higher the fee for maintenance or reapplication. In some cases, the guarantee could become void, subject to evaluation. Please contact us to check specific terms before your relocation.
How to Make a Claim:
If you notice any issues with the coating, please reach out within 72 hours. Ensure you submit detailed documentation, including photos or descriptions of the problem. While we'll assess the situation, if the issue is found outside the guarantee coverage, additional charges may apply for repair or reapplication.
Transferability:
This guarantee applies only to the original purchaser. If you sell or transfer ownership of your car, the guarantee does not transfer. Furthermore, if any modifications are made by someone other than
SHiFTUP, the guarantee could be voided, and you may incur additional costs for a fresh application.SHiFTUP is committed to offering top-notch protection for your vehicle. However, it's important to understand the fine details of the guarantee, as there are exclusions, conditions, and situations that could result in additional costs. Keep these nuances in mind to avoid surprises and ensure your car remains in top condition for years to come.
